Case Study: Lone Worker Protection in a Health Centre
Community health centres often require staff to conduct home visits alone, sometimes in unfamiliar or unpredictable environments. This raised concerns about their safety, especially if they encountered aggression, accidents, or sudden health emergencies while working independently.
To address this, the centre implemented SentriCore lone worker alarms. These wearable devices included automatic fall and inactivity detection, ensuring an alert was raised even if the user was incapacitated. Signals were routed to the central control unit, which immediately notified designated colleagues via phone and pager.
The system was installed quickly without specialist IT resources or subscriptions, making it a cost-effective solution. Staff appreciated the simple, plug-and-play functionality, knowing they were supported wherever they went.
Since rollout, incidents have been handled faster, lone workers feel safer, and management has a clear audit trail of every alert for compliance and accountability. The system reinforced staff wellbeing and reduced workplace anxiety significantly.
